#1 Mistake is not realizing that Network Marketing is a People Business.

This is true.   It is a fact, people join you and not your business.  It doesn’t matter if you are in a health and wellness, make-up and skin care business, juice business, legal services business, travel business or even a gold and silver business.  It really doesn’t matter what network marketing company you are with.  People WILL join you, but why?

The first thing I want you to consider is what is your value?  What can you share with your prospects that would assist them in their business and join you?  Is it the comp plan? No, that would mean they are joining a company with a great comp plan, but there are many network marketing companies out there with fantastic comp plans yet many people go and join a company with an inferior comp plan because it is the person that sponsored them that really attracted them.

So begin to develop your value.  Learn what is working and share the information freely.  Let your prospects know that you are going to be there for them. You may begin to see great success just by providing amazing value to your prospects that many will start to follow you and eventually join when you develop the relationship.

How to Build Your Value in Network Marketing

So what do you do in this case?  When you begin to grow as a person and as a network marketer people will naturally be more attracted to you.  Like attracts like.  That doesn’t change.  So start investing in yourself.  Begin with reading books on leadership, personal development, and network marketing.  1 on 1 Coaching is also a good investment.

So, because this is a people business, BE the person you want to attract into your business.  Continue to grow through personal development and coaching and then turn around and share your value with your prospects as well as your new reps.

You will be surprised by who you end up having some of the closest relationships with and who some of your closest friends become.
